Lightwork Remote Monitoring
Privacy Policy
Effective August 14, 2026
The short version: Lightwork uses account, home, and environmental data to provide and protect the Monitoring App. We do not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising.
Home data is shared data. Other people authorized for the home may see its readings and reports. If you received access through a partnership, referral, employer, membership, clinician, or other sponsoring organization, that organization’s authorized personnel may also have access as described below.
Lightwork provides environmental technology. The Monitoring App is designed for environmental data, not medical records or individual health information. A partner may separately use environmental data alongside information it holds under its own services and privacy practices.
1. Who this policy covers
Do Lightwork LLC, doing business as Lightwork Home Health (“Lightwork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides the technology and environmental monitoring services in this app (the “Monitoring App”). This policy applies to the Monitoring App at this domain and not to unrelated websites or services.
If another organization arranges or sponsors your access, that organization may separately control information it receives. Its own privacy notice also applies to its use of that information.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how the Monitoring App is set up, we collect:
- Account and access data, such as your name, email address, authentication events, invitations, organization, household role, and account settings.
- Home and location data, such as a home’s exact address, coordinates, time zone, property details, rooms, and address-related imagery or artifacts.
- Device and environmental data, such as device identifiers, installation room, device status, and time-stamped readings for air quality, temperature, humidity, noise, light, and other supported measurements.
- Assessment and activity data, such as environmental assessments, outdoor and neighborhood context, recommendations, action status, notes, alert acknowledgements, and records of changes made in the app.
- Technical and support data, such as IP address, browser and device information, request and security logs, dates and times of use, and messages you send us.
Environmental data tied to an address can be sensitive. It may reveal patterns about conditions or activity in a home. We treat it as personal data when it can reasonably be linked to a person or home.
3. Environmental technology, not health care
Lightwork provides technology for understanding conditions in and around a home. The Monitoring App is designed to collect and process environmental information, not medical records or individual health information. Lightwork does not use Monitoring App data to diagnose, treat, or make health-care decisions about any person, and we do not create individual medical profiles.
The app may provide general educational context about how environmental conditions can relate to comfort or well-being. That does not mean Lightwork is collecting clinical information or providing health care. Do not enter or upload diagnoses, symptoms, medications, treatment information, lab results, medical records, or other individual health information in notes or other app fields.
A partner may separately choose to use environmental data from the app alongside health or other information the partner already holds. That separate use is the partner’s responsibility and is governed by the partner’s own privacy notice, agreements, consents or authorizations, and legal obligations. Lightwork’s role remains providing environmental technology and making environmental data available to authorized users.
4. Where information comes from
We receive information:
- from you and other authorized people connected to the home;
- from Lightwork or another organization that invites, refers, or sponsors you;
- from installed sensors and their providers, including historical readings available for a connected device;
- from environmental, mapping, utility, government, and other public or commercial data sources associated with the home’s location; and
- automatically when you use the Monitoring App.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate the Monitoring App, connect devices, display trends, and provide environmental context, assessments, and recommendations;
- create optional automated summaries or derived imagery where those features are enabled;
- authenticate users, manage invitations and permissions, and send access codes and service messages;
- troubleshoot problems, maintain data quality, protect users and homes, prevent misuse, and keep audit records;
- support users, improve the service, and understand performance;
- comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims; and
- create aggregated or de-identified information that is not reasonably linked to a person or home. We do not try to re-identify that information.
6. Who may receive or see information
We limit access based on role, but the Monitoring App is designed for authorized sharing. Information may be available to:
- People connected to the home. Authorized residents, home managers, clinicians, and administrators may see environmental readings, trends, assessments, recommendations, and activity for homes assigned to them. A home manager or administrator may add or remove access.
- Partners and sponsors. If a partnership, membership, referral, employer, clinician, or other organization arranged or pays for the service, its authorized staff may receive or access environmental data, reports, and the account and home identifiers needed to provide, coordinate, administer, or evaluate the service. The organization that invited you can tell you which roles it has authorized.
- Service providers. We use companies that provide hosting, databases, authentication, email, sensor connectivity, mapping, environmental data, security, support, and optional automated analysis or image generation. They receive only the information needed to perform services for us and are subject to contractual or legal restrictions.
- Legal and safety recipients. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect a person’s safety, or protect rights, systems, and property.
- Business transaction recipients. Information may be reviewed or transferred as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
A partner is separately responsible if it combines environmental data from the Monitoring App with medical or other information it holds, uses that combined information in providing its own services, or makes decisions about a person. The partner’s own privacy notice, agreements, consents or authorizations, and legal obligations apply to that activity.
We do not sell personal data for money, and we do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it to target advertising. Sharing with an authorized household member, clinician, partner, sponsor, or service provider is not an advertising sale.
7. Cookies and similar technology
The Monitoring App uses cookies and similar storage to sign you in, keep your session secure, remember settings, prevent abuse, and understand how the app is used. Product analytics and error tracking may collect page views, clicks, interactions, browser information, diagnostic errors and stack traces, and an account identifier after sign-in. Session replay may record the rendered interface and interactions so we can troubleshoot and improve the service; form inputs are masked by default.
We do not use these technologies for targeted advertising or sell their data. Blocking cookies or similar storage may prevent sign-in, analytics, or other features from working.
8. Retention and account closure
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain accurate shared home history, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. The period varies by the type of information and the arrangement through which the home receives monitoring.
Environmental readings, assessments, recommendations, and audit history are records of the home and may be shared by several users. They may remain archived after monitoring stops. Closing your individual account normally removes or revokes your access, but it does not necessarily delete shared home records that other authorized users or a sponsoring organization still need. We may also retain limited security, legal, backup, and transaction records after an account closes.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information, including access controls and protections for data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure. Keep access codes and devices private, use the security options offered in your account, and contact us promptly if you believe access has been compromised.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for using a privacy right. We do not sell data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out needed for the Monitoring App today.
Email hello@lightworkhome.com with the subject “Monitoring privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity and authority. Some requests are subject to exceptions, and we may be unable to delete shared home, security, legal, or partner-controlled records. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying with the subject “Privacy appeal.”
11. Children
The Monitoring App is for authorized users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly invite or collect account information directly from children. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account or submitted personal information without appropriate permission.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Monitoring App or law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. We will seek consent before using previously collected personal data for a materially different purpose when the law requires it.
Questions, security concerns, and privacy requests can be sent to hello@lightworkhome.com. Lightwork’s legal name is Do Lightwork LLC.
